Common questions from homeowners.
If you're not sure where to start, these are the questions we hear most often — before, during and after install. Plain answers, footnotes where a claim needs one. If yours isn't here, send us a message and we'll reply within one business day.
Before you commit.
How long does a typical solar or battery installation take?
Most residential solar installations take 1 to 2 days depending on system size and roof complexity. Battery-only installs typically take half a day. We'll confirm the exact timeline when we schedule your install date.
How long from first enquiry to installation?
The typical timeline is 2 to 6 weeks from enquiry to install, depending on system complexity, grid connection approval, and scheduling availability. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your design consultation.
System design.
Do you size the battery to match my energy consumption or my inverter?
Both. We design the system around your actual consumption patterns first, then ensure compatibility with your inverter. Our designers review your usage data and roof layout before recommending a battery size.
Which inverter and battery brands do you use?
We install Goodwe, Sungrow, and Sigenergy inverters — all Approved Products under the federal scheme and well-supported in Australia. We'll recommend the best fit for your system during the design phase.
How do I know if my roof is suitable for solar?
Most roofs in South East Queensland are suitable. Key factors are roof orientation (north-facing is ideal), pitch, available unshaded area, and structural condition. Our designers assess all of this during the quoting process using satellite imagery and on-site data — at no cost to you.
After install.
What happens if a panel underperforms after installation?
All panels come with the manufacturer's performance warranty. If a panel underperforms within that warranty period, we manage the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf. Our workmanship warranty — covered for as long as you own your home — also covers any installation issues.
What warranties do you offer?
All equipment comes with the manufacturer's standard warranty (typically 10 to 25 years on panels, 10 years on batteries and inverters — varies by brand). On top of that, our workmanship is covered for as long as you own your home (non-transferable), and the installation and materials we supply and fit carry a 5-year warranty.
Costs & rebates.
How does the solar STC rebate work?
The Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) scheme is a federal government incentive that reduces the upfront cost of your solar system. The number of STCs your system earns depends on its size, your location, and the current deeming period. We calculate and apply the rebate directly to your quote — you don't need to do anything.
How does the Cheaper Home Batteries Program (CHBP) work?
The CHBP is a federal government program that reduces the cost of eligible home battery systems via STCs. The rebate amount depends on your battery's capacity and the current STC factor, which steps down every six months. We calculate the exact rebate for your system and apply it to your quote.
Service area.
Do you service my area?
We currently service all of South East Queensland, including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, and surrounding areas. We're expanding to new regions soon — contact us to check availability in your area.
